So! It’s taken a global health crisis to get me to post a blog on here after god knows how long… But, hey- I’m busy! But as a NYC resident I’ve been self-quarantined for weeks now, so after avoiding a lot of other tasks, I’ve finally got to posting a little update here on my site.
I’m happy to report that I’m healthy, holed-up in my Brooklyn apt. completely alone. My only room mate left me for dead and escaped upstate with friends to bunker down. But, I’m fiiiiiinnnnneeee….
I’m lucky enough to work from home for my day-job, so I’m not entirely destitute. I shower at least one a week- so, cheers. I do push-ups everyday like a proper inmate, jump around on my trampoline- mostly to annoy my neighbor, and attend the occasional on-line yoga class (Hell of a year for Zoom- huh?).
And naturally, I’m keeping busy creating all sorts on insane content on social media. TikTok is where it’s at, if you can figure out how to use it. But. I’m getting much better. I also started a sit-down comedy show called “Laugh or Die” streaming on IG live once or twice a week.
This Sunday I will begin streaming comedy for Dekalb Stage Presents and City Point Mall, the wonderful venue where my suspended weekly show Belly Laugh is produced. I’ll stream for them every Sunday evening after their brunch DJ thing. I won’t be streaming stand-up because, it’s incredibly awkward to do without a live audience, but I will be presenting an original program called “Captive’s Log” - it will be the hilarious and demented thoughts of a wild genius isolated in a global pandemic- ME! I hope you check it out. DM your girl for details.
Thank you for your attention and concern during these trying times. Your mouse will see you out.
